Check out these 16 vegan clothing brands – from affordable to luxury

So you’ve switched to a vegan diet (or you’re somewhere on the plant-based spectrum), but now you’re asking yourself: what clothes are vegan friendly? If you want new clothes, but you’d like them to be as ethical and sustainable as possible, then look no further than these fully vegan clothing brands! They take the guesswork out of buying clothes that fit your values.

One of my favourite things to do is to browse the local charity shops and see what bargains I can find… But sometimes the items have their labels removed and it’s hard to tell whether they contain animal products or not. An alternative to that is buying clothes from these entirely vegan clothing brands! I’ve included affordable vegan clothing brands and luxury vegan brands, so hopefully there’s something for your budget! I’ve also included brands that sell shoes and other accessories, so make sure you bookmark this page for all your vegan shopping needs.

It’s hard to define what exactly constitutes affordable versus luxury, as this will be different for everyone. I chose to define affordable vegan brands as those who have products mostly under £100, and luxury vegan brands as those with products mostly in the 3+ figure range. So pick your budget and enjoy your online window shopping!

Boody

Boody is an amazing B-Corp that make the softest bamboo clothes. I’ve been thinking about getting one of their soft bras for a while, it might be just what I need for cosy days working from home. They also do men’s underwear:

Hedoine

Ladder-resistant tights – what more is there to say?? Haha anyway, I like that Hedoine have a variety of skin tones and come the autumn, I’ll probably be getting myself a few pairs.

Joanie

I’m glad I discovered Joanie! I like that they share photos of models with a variety of body shapes, it helps me imagine what the clothes would look like on me. If you like the aesthetic of Oliver Bonas, but want to make sure the clothes you’re buying are vegan, then you might like Joanie!

A statement on their website reads:

Our clothing range is currently entirely free from animal-derived products. We will never use angora, down, fur or exotic animal skin in any of our products.

Please note that not all Joanie shoes are vegan, but their clothes should be.

Charlotte Dunn Design

Charlotte Dunn Design is the vegan alternative to silk pyjamas. Inspired by her experience working in an eco-friendly bridal boutique, the founder Charlotte wondered: what would it be like to sleep in a silky wedding gown? And that is how these bamboo “silk” pyjamas were born!

Issy London

Want the luxury feeling of fur, but don’t want the suffering that goes with it? Issy London and their beautiful coats are the answer!

“Issy, my daughter, has always been so passionate about the environment, climate change and ‘doing the right thing’, so it felt right to name the brand after her. Issy is the future, and I’m so proud to launch an inspiring, innovative collection with a conscience.”

Mila.Vert

If you’re looking for a vegan “quiet luxury” brand, Mila.Vert could be your go-to! Their pieces are definitely an investment, but they’re in very classic cuts and colours, so they could become your wardrobe staples for years to come. It seems like their products become available in small batches, so you might need to sign up for a waitlist depending on when you’re reading this.

Minuit sur Terre

I’ve actually written a whole blog post about Minuit sur Terre shoes, but this French brand also offers beautiful clothes and accessories! If you like Sézane‘s aesthetic, but would like a vegan alternative, Minuit sur Terre is a good shout.

They’re in the luxury section of this blog post as their shoes and bags are over £100, but their clothes tend to be cheaper than that. Check out a few favourites below (I included more than for the other brands because I couldn’t choose!) or their whole range here.

Bonus: Votch

While not technically a vegan clothing brand, Votch deserves an honorable mention!

This iconic vegan watch brand was created when the ethically-minded founder couldn’t find a vegan replacement for her broken watch strap. I actually own their gold watch below (and have a couple other strap colours I switch around on a monthly basis). I’m so happy with the quality that I’m quite tempted to get their apple-leather bag too if it comes back in stock.
