So you’ve switched to a vegan diet (or you’re somewhere on the plant-based spectrum), but now you’re asking yourself: what clothes are vegan friendly?
One of my favourite things to do is to browse the local charity shops and see what bargains I can find… But sometimes the items have their labels removed and it’s hard to tell whether they contain animal products or not.
An alternative to that is buying clothes from these entirely vegan fashion brands! I’ve included affordable vegan clothing brands and luxury vegan brands, so hopefully there’s something for your budget!
16 vegan fashion brands to watch in 2022
It’s hard to define what exactly constitutes affordable versus luxury, as this will be different for everyone.
I chose to define affordable vegan brands as those who have products mostly under £100, and luxury vegan brands as those with products mostly in the 3+ figure range.
So pick your budget and enjoy your online window shopping!

Joanie
I’m glad I discovered Joanie*! I like that they share photos of models with a variety of body shapes, it helps me imagine what the clothes would look like on me. A statement on their website reads:
As of January 2021, we no longer use animal products or byproducts in the creation of our garments. We never use leather, cashmere, mohair, Angora, wool, fur or animal hair, feathers or down, silk, bone, teeth, horn, or shell. These components are banned from our production, making all Joanie products vegan friendly.
