I don’t know about you, but when it starts to get warmer, fresh fruit and salads seem a lot more appealing.
But I would never completely leave behind comfort food, so that’s why this blog posts features the whole spectrum of vegan summer desserts from very healthy to indulgent!
6 delicious vegan summer desserts
1. Fruit kebabs recipe ideas
The easiest raw vegan summer desserts… are in your fruit bowl! Here is the first of a few ideas of how you can spice things up this summer: fruit kebabs!
I always associate fruit kebabs with having a barbecue for some reason, but they could also be fun for a summer birthday party! Watch the video below for some fun ideas:
2. The simple fruit salad (and smoothie bowl)

This is an easy one to put together and will feel super refreshing on a hot day! Chop up fresh or canned fruit, then add any juice remaining into the bowl with them.
Fruit salads don’t age very well, so you could freeze any leftover fruit. Then simply blend the frozen fruit and add the shape ideas from the video above to create beautiful smoothie bowls.
For something a bit heartier, you can add granola, like in the photo at the top of this post.
If you’re making a smoothie bowl, make sure you think about how the colours will mix so you don’t end up with some unattractive brown goo!

3. Best of the lazy vegan deserts: strawberries and cream

Whether or not you watch Wimbledon while eating them, strawberries and cream are a summer classic!
You can chop the strawberries or eat them whole. They don’t need any additional sugar, but sometimes a little bit helps their juice to come out.
Strawberries are best eaten the day you get them, whether that’s in your organic box or at a local market.
You can buy vegan cream in most supermarkets now, so take your pick and enjoy!

4. Vegan ice cream – two ways
If you’ve been vegan for a while (or even if you haven’t!), you’ll probably have heard of “nice cream“. And if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat (get it?…).
Nice cream is the easiest and – probably healthiest – ice cream alternative. All you need to do is blend frozen bananas and add a couple other ingredients to make the taste you want:
Of course, you can also buy vegan ice cream! Here are some products that caught my eye:

5. Convenient and forgiving summer vegan dessert: banana bread
Great for taking to picnics or for an energy boost at the beach… You know that hungry feeling you get when you’ve been at the beach for a while? You’ll be grateful to have banana bread with you!
You can either follow the vegan banana bread recipe in the video, or for a shortcut, use the vegan banana bread mix below!
6. Best of the fancy vegan desserts: tiramisu 3 ways
If I think tiramisu, I picture a lovely meal outside: there are olive trees and blue painted shutters, a warm breeze in my hair. We’ve just had some delicious pasta and we’re about to move onto something sweet…
And then I wake up from my daydream! Ha, I’m looking forward to trying the 5-minute tiramisu in the video below. There’s also a 5-hour (!) version and I’ve included one you can get ready-made below too. Tell me in the comments which one you’d try!
